Automatic Mesh Tool filling in Corel

Here is a trick how to make a nice vector object using a mesh tool in Corel. We decided to show it on a small bitmap image with a sweet pear on it. Actually you can try this technique on any fruit you like :)

1. First, we have to set up mesh filling grid options. Go to Tools -> Options -> Toolbox -> Mesh Fill Tool and set the proper values of column and row numbers as shown in the picture below:

2. Import a bitmap image in a new document (in our case we have a pear image):

3. Pick up a Penn Tool and make 2 masks:

4. Use Boolean Intersect Button to crop the necessary fragments of image. To do this, first you have to select the bitmap image and the mask:

5. Apply the Mesh Tool (M) for one of the fragments. When Mesh tool has already been selected, you need to move one of the mesh key points a little. After this small trick Corel will make an automatic mesh fill and convert your bitmap to the vector mesh object. Repeat this step for the second fragment:

apply mesh

Apply mesh tool

And we are done. You can adjust the mesh grid at your own discretion. The goal of this article was to show the Auto Mesh Corel trick. The result should be like this:

Eye tracking studies conducted by Jakob Nielsen (famous usability consultant) show that users read content that resembles an F-shape, meaning that the reading starts from the upper left of the web page, next it moves down a little starting from the left again.
